Ellen Hunt
Ellen Hunt is Director of Marketing and Communications for the Rudd Group and Executive Director of the Rudd Foundation. In this capacity, she has helped coordinate work on bias, stigma, and obesity and then was instrumental in establishing the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity at Yale University, where she serves as Advisor.
In her role at Rudd, Ellen combines a passionate interest in food and wine with broad experience in marketing, sales, training and project management gained from her twenty-year career in financial services. She oversees and coordinates all aspects of communications and brand development for the Rudd Group. Her responsibilities include the management of an international network of distributor partners who share the Rudd philosophy of quality representation and strategic brand management. In her commitment to educate about the importance of Rudd wines, Ellen travels extensively to work closely with sales professionals in the field and to present the Rudd vision to top wine purveyors, chefs and journalists.
Ellen was instrumental in forging Rudd's liaison with the Culinary Institute of America's new wine studies program, resulting in a $1.5 million donation to rebuild the historic Still House that will serve as the Rudd Center for Professional Wine Studies at the Greystone campus of the CIA in St. Helena, California.
Born in Chicago, Ellen spent her formative years in Seattle, graduating from the University of Washington with degrees in French Language and Literature and Spanish Language and Literature. She also speaks Italian and has toured the wine-growing regions of France and Italy to broaden her knowledge of Old World wines.
