National School Lunch Program
The National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program (collectively, the NSLP) provides per-meal cash reimbursements to schools that provide meals to students, as long as the meals meet certain nutritional standards. The NSLP is administered at the federal level by the Food and Nutrition Service, an office of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and at the State level typically by state education agencies (through agreements with school food authorities).
