GIS Analysis of the Food Environment
The Rudd Center has launched a series of studies to examine the built environment and food landscape around schools. Our research includes an analysis of food outlet density, type, and proximity to schools; an assessment of how various food outlets affect the eating patterns of school children; and evaluations of zoning regulations that affect the food environment around schools.
