Green Spaces
A 2003 study in Environment and Behavior examined the effect of being able to see natural views from the window, having a yard made of grass rather than dirt or concrete, and living among houseplants. The researchers found that children with high visual access to natural spaces coped better with stress than children in less natural environments.
