Extra Pounds May Mean Higher Insurance Costs
In an effort to improve health statewide, Alabama will institute a charge of $25 per month for otherwise free health insurance to state workers who do not demonstrate an effort to be physically fit. The goal of the program is “to get individuals to become more aware of their health” says a member of the Alabama insurance board.
