Too Much or Too Little Sleep Tied to Obesity
A new government study has found that people who sleep fewer than six or more than nine hours a night are more likely to be obese than their peers who receive adequate amounts of sleep. The study – one of the largest ever to document the link between poor sleep and being overweight – also links irregular sleeping to higher smoking rates, less physical activity and greater alcohol use.
