Increasing Obesity Requires New Ambulance Equipment
Fire departments and emergency medical workers are responding to nationwide increases in obesity by purchasing stretchers, gurneys, and bariatric ambulances with greater holding capacities. Having inadequate equipment poses safety risks to both patients and the emergency medical staff caring for them.
