Obesity Costing Firms $45 Billion a Year
A new report by The Conference Board has found that obesity is associated with a 36-percent increase in spending on healthcare services, more than smoking or problem drinking. The report also explores the financial and ethical questions surrounding companies’ commitment to wellness programs that encourage overweight employees to lose weight.
